GlobalConnect ShadowLink - Stand-by Connectivity Worldwide
The GlobalConnect ShadowLink service is a stand-by site-to-site or site-to-multisite IP VPN service based on MPLS technology pre-provisioned in advance, but billed only when used for the duration of use. The GlobalConnect ShadowLink service differs from the regular GlobalConnect services in that besides initial setup costs, the service carries no cost until it is used, providing clients with both operational and financial peace of mind.
This different cost structure makes GlobalConnect ShadowLink ideal for disaster recovery use, where emergency connectivity is required upon the failure of a primary link, or additional capacity is required temporarily to recover backups or transfer large amounts of data from an off-site datacenter back on-site.
