GlobalConnect - Site-to-Site IP-VPN services
The Globalaxs GlobalConnect service is a Site-to-Site IP VPN service based on MPLS technology. In an essence, it provides a virtual private interconnect between two points through the Globalaxs network.
As GlobalConnect is an IP (Layer 3) service, it is most suitable for organizations that use the IP protocol exclusively. Both the IPv4 and IPv6 protocols are supported.
The GlobalConnect service takes full advantage of our advanced network, providing additional resilience, reliably and availability much beyond what can be offered by traditional leased lines providers. While traditional leased lines are often provided with 1+1 protection, traffic passing over GlobalConnect can take advantage of the entire GlobalConnect network, providing resilience against multiple link failures.
GlobalConnect service is an ideal solution for situations such as:
- Connecting two offices in geographically distant areas.
- Providing event connectivity between an event venue and corporate HQ.
- Connecting an in-house datacenter to its disaster recovery counterpart at a commercial facility.
Some of the advantages of the GlobalConnect service are:
- Significant cost reduction vs. leased lines without sacrificing privacy or reliability.
- Rapid provisioning (same-day provisioning possible in certain situations.
For a service which provides IP VPN interconnect between more than two points (such as an HQ to branch offices), Globalaxs can offer its GlobalConnect Multisite service.
We can also provide Internet connectivity together with the GlobalConnect or GlobalConnect Multisite services; the GlobalConnect Mix service provides this feature.
