Anycast DNS Services

Globalaxs Anycast DNS Services are a hosted DNS solution which ensures that DNS resolution happens quickly and consistently, regardless of any local or even national outages. It is also designed to handle very high volumes of DNS queries.

The Anycast DNS Services are provided over a set of distributed DNS servers, operated by Globalaxs and  located at datacenters around the globe, all responding to queries on the same set of IP addresses.

By utilizing anycast routing, DNS queries always get routed to the nearest available DNS server. This both spreads the query load between the servers, and reduces latency. Anycast routing also assists in mitigating the effects of denial of service attacks against the DNS infrastructure, ensuring continuous operation.
